Beth Dudjak is the Florida Outreach Manager at the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. Equipped with experience from the public school system and years of delivering the MBF Child Safety Matters curriculum, she will help facilitators eliminate barriers and self-advocate for instruction time in classrooms while offering the support to develop attainable goals for a comprehensive school counseling program.

Beth was born and raised in Kentucky, but has called Jacksonville home for the last 16 years. She currently lives in Jacksonville with her husband and daughter. Beth graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health and Human Services. Early in her career, she worked as a case manager providing school-age children and their families wraparound services through Full Service Schools. A short time later, she worked with families involved in the Dependency court system as a Family Service Counselor and as an Adoption Coordinator in order to provide children permanency. Beth completed her Master of Arts in School Guidance and Counseling at Webster University and practiced as an Elementary School Counselor for 12 years with Duval County Public Schools, 7 of those years in various Title I schools. She continues to maintain her K-12th School Counseling Certification through the Florida Department of Education. Being born into a family of educators, education has and will always hold a special place in her heart.

Shana Wilson is the Financial Accountant for the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. Shana joined the foundation in 2016. She is responsible for the accounting activities and support to the Finance & Operations Director. Shana has 17+ years of accounting experience, and has worked in various capacities as an accountant and analyst. She holds a BS BA in Accounting, Marketing, and Management from Indiana State University and MBA from Louisiana State University.

Shana enjoys reading, shopping, and traveling to new places. Professionally, she enjoys taking on new challenges and personally, she takes tremendous pride in working for a foundation that empowers and protects children. “It is rewarding to know that I am afforded the opportunity to do a small part to positively impact the lives of children and society as a whole.”

Lynn carries out the Foundation’s mission to provide the best prevention education programs to schools and other organizations to prevent bullying, child abuse, and all types of victimization. She oversees the expansion of the Foundation, develops the Foundation’s board, secures volunteers and executes fundraising events. “I do not believe that we will ever rid ourselves of child abuse or bullying. But I come to work each day knowing that the work we do, the partnerships we form and the money we raise truly makes a difference in the lives of children. I am blessed with the opportunity to see some of the fruits of our labor.

Lynn was born in Valdosta, GA, and has lived in Jacksonville for 29 years. Lynn is a graduate of Valdosta State College and holds a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She is an alumni member of the Kappa Delta sorority, Gamma Mu chapter. She supports Young Life – North St. John’s County. Lynn is married to Glenn Layton and together they have two children, Clark Fouraker and Mallory Layton.

Julie is the Customer Service Manager for the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. She provides customer support for all national accounts. Julie brings more than twenty years of office management and customer relations experience to the team at MBF. She strives to provide the most positive experience possible to the Facilitators who educate children every day on how to protect themselves. As a school librarian at her hometown junior high school, she was granted the opportunity to observe her own daughters grow and learn while encouraging her daily classes to treat each other with kindness and respect. Now, she is proud and honored to be part of an organization that teaches children empowerment to protect themselves while also encouraging them to be kind to one another.

Julie and her husband relocated to Jacksonville from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 2018. Julie studied Computer Applications at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and furthered her studies in business management and human resources. She enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. She has two daughters that serve in the United States Air Force and a granddaughter.

Shelly Mason is the Program and Development Assistant at the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. Shelly assists the Program and Development team in all day-to-day activities to keep things running smoothly. Since joining the team at MBF, she enjoys the uplifting feeling of knowing that children are being empowered to keep themselves safe with the help of MBF and the proactive adults in our schools and community.

Shelly was born in Joplin, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a Bachelor of Educational Studies degree. She relocated from South Florida to the Jacksonville area with her husband and two children in 2011. Her son and daughter both graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee.

Stacy Pendarvis is the Program Director for the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. Stacy is a social worker and educator with two Masters degrees from East Carolina University (Social Work and Academic Psychology). She began her career in direct practice in the child welfare field, but soon learned the importance of prevention where she has focused her efforts for more than twenty years. She has developed adult- and child- focused curricula and resources, managed community and agency projects related to child protection, and helped many organizations and communities establish prevention initiatives. She has educated thousands of adults and children on various child protection issues and has also held Social Work and Psychology adjunct faculty positions at several universities in North Carolina and Florida.

Stacy has been at the Monique Burr Foundation for Children since May, 2011. Her role as Program Director is to oversee all program and prevention related activities. She leads the development of all prevention curricula, trainings, and resources, directs the program evaluation research teams, develops and conducts community and professional trainings, collaborates with a multitude of partners, and works to ensure every child has access to effective, comprehensive, evidence-based prevention programs to help protect them from abuse and victimization.

Meg Slay is the Administrative and Events Specialist for the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. She is responsible for planning and coordinating events, assisting the Program Director with tasks, edits and research and is the executive assistant to the President/CEO. Having graduated with a Psychology major and two minors in Family and Child Sciences and Hospitality Management from Florida State University, Meg is armed to tackle these many and varied jobs.

Meg’s college experience included extensive scientific research, as she worked in FSU’s Psychology Lab for four years and served as Executive Project Manager for multiple research studies. On the events side, Meg coordinated personal and professional events in her former position as Assistant Sales Manager for two Hilton hotel properties in Tallahassee. Additionally, Meg devoted many hours to child-based volunteer programs prior to joining the MBF team.

Meg discovered the Foundation during her senior year in college and fell in love with their mission. She has always been passionate about helping people and loves that her job makes a difference in children’s lives. A Jacksonville resident since she was in elementary school, Meg was thrilled to return to her hometown post-graduation. Meg currently lives in Riverside and enjoys having her family and friends nearby.

Cori Wilson is the Finance and Operations Director at the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. She has been with the Foundation since 2010, when she discovered the field of child abuse prevention to be the most rewarding work, and specifically the work of the Monique Burr Foundation to be life-changing for so many children. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked in Marketing, Real Estate, and Development in the Florida Keys and in Northeast Florida. Cori received her MBA from Florida State University.

Cori’s role at the Monique Burr Foundation for Children is to oversee all accounting and operations functions. Her work includes contract and grant management, financial reporting and compliance, and internal systems management in support of operations. She grew up in Orange Park, Florida, but now lives in Indiana with her husband and two children. She enjoys painting, the outdoors, and visiting sunny Florida as often as possible!
