Support child safety by attending the MBF Champions for Child Safety Pro Am Golf Tournament! We are thrilled to announce that Pro golfers Fred Funk, Jim Furyk, and Mark McCumber will serve as Honorary Chairmen again for this year’s tournament.
Join us on December 7-8th at The Palencia Club in St. Augustine, Florida! This signature golf tournament and pairings party helps the Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF) better protect children from abuse and bullying by raising both funds and awareness. Your participation as a player, donor, or sponsor helps support MBF’s efforts to keep children safe.
During the COVID-19 quarantine, many children were trapped at home with their abusers and no access to a Safe Adult. Over 90% of abusers are someone the child knows, loves, and trusts. As students return to school, they need our programs more than ever and we need your help to make sure they receive it.
Proceeds from this tournament support MBF Prevention Education Programs, a series of comprehensive, evidence-based/evidence-informed, prevention programs that educate and empower children and teens with strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, online dangers, child abuse, and exploitation/trafficking. To date, MBF has trained more than 5,000 facilitators who have delivered MBF Child Safety Matters® and MBF Teen Safety Matters® lessons to more than 4.5 million students within 26 states, Washington D.C., and 3 countries. In the 2020-21 school year, MBF will reach even more students with the expansion of our new programs, MBF Athlete Safety Matters® and MBF After-School Safety Matters™.

There’s not a child in the world who can’t benefit from this program. There are so many instances where we see children who have been damaged and hurt. Things happened to them and we think, if they’d only had this program, if they’d only had the benefit of this education, that might not have happened to them. If we can prevent that from happening to a single child, then it’s worth all the effort we have put forth.
The MBF Child Safety Matters program is impressive. This important information is well formulated and well presented, developmentally appropriate, and based on good understanding of literature.
I heard about the program through my son. He came home…and showed me the safety rules. I cannot thank the Foundation enough; to have other people who are also concerned about my child’s safety and the safety of other kids is wonderful. I especially like the program’s focus on the prevention side.
