During the COVID-19 quarantine, many children were trapped at home with their abusers and no access to a Safe Adult. Over 90% of abusers are someone the child knows, loves, and trusts. As students return to school, they need our programs more than ever and we need your help to make sure they receive it.
Proceeds from this tournament support MBF Prevention Education Programs, a series of comprehensive, evidence-based/evidence-informed, prevention programs that educate and empower children and teens with strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, online dangers, child abuse, and exploitation/trafficking. To date, MBF has trained more than 5,000 facilitators who have delivered MBF Child Safety Matters® and MBF Teen Safety Matters® lessons to more than 4.5 million students within 27 states, Washington D.C., and 3 countries. In the 2020-21 school year, MBF will reach even more students with the expansion of our new programs, MBF Athlete Safety Matters® and MBF After-School Safety Matters®.

The MBF Teen Safety Matters curriculum hosts an in-depth approach to important social and safety concerns relevant to youth. The program content is age-appropriate with engaging activities, jargon, and realistic situations to positively promote a relatable and impacting learning experience…Teen Safety Matters is an educational benefit to all parties involved – students, parents, facilitators, and schools.
There’s not a child in the world who can’t benefit from this program. There are so many instances where we see children who have been damaged and hurt. Things happened to them and we think, if they’d only had this program, if they’d only had the benefit of this education, that might not have happened to them. If we can prevent that from happening to a single child, then it’s worth all the effort we have put forth.
The MBF Child Safety Matters program is impressive. This important information is well formulated and well presented, developmentally appropriate, and based on good understanding of literature.
