MBF Mental Health Matters

MBF Mental Health Matters™, provided by the Monique Burr Foundation for Children, are supplemental lessons for MBF Child Safety Matters® and MBF Teen Safety Matters® that address Mental and Emotional Health and Substance Use and Abuse.

MBF Mental Health Matters was created to assist Florida schools with meeting the Florida Department of Education Mental and Emotional Health and Substance Use and Abuse education requirements. The lessons were designed to be presented to students following the two school-based lessons in each program that currently meet the Florida DOE Child Trafficking Prevention Education Rule.

The MBF Mental Health Matters lessons follow the same familiar format and are practical and easy to implement using turnkey scripts and PowerPoints. They are developmentally-appropriate, trauma-informed, and include the same MBF 5 Safety Rules© to educate and empower students to maintain consistent messaging.
