Summer Safety Prevention Education

When parents consider enrolling their children in summer camps or programs, the safety of their children plays a huge role in their decision.

You can stand out as a leader in protecting children by using MBF After-School Safety Matters® (ASSM), with the youth you serve to help protect them from abuse, exploitation, bullying, cyberbullying, digital dangers, and more.

Join the thousands of Child Advocacy Centers, YMCA’s, churches, and other youth-serving organizations already using our evidence-based/trauma-informed personal safety prevention education programs to protect youth in their communities!

Every child deserves to be safe, and with ASSM, you can give children the tools and strategies they need to stay safe like using the MBF 5 Safety Rules and talking to a Safe Adult if they’re ever in an unsafe situation.

MBF After-School Safety Matters is a comprehensive, evidence-informed prevention education program ideal for extended-day programs, community centers, YMCAs, youth camps, faith-based organizations, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys & Girls Clubs, and other youth-serving organizations. The program is fun, easy to implement, and can be taught in any setting (no technology needed!). Lessons are presented to youth in grade-level clusters (K-2, 3-5, and 6-8) with 6 topic-specific lessons (30 – 60 minutes each) and include lectures, group discussions, skills-practice activities, games, and crafts.

What They're Saying...

I heard about the program through my son. He came home…and showed me the safety rules. I cannot thank the Foundation enough; to have other people who are also concerned about my child’s safety and the safety of other kids is wonderful. I especially like the program’s focus on the prevention side.

The MBF Teen Safety Matters curriculum hosts an in-depth approach to important social and safety concerns relevant to youth. The program content is age-appropriate with engaging activities, jargon, and realistic situations to positively promote a relatable and impacting learning experience…Teen Safety Matters is an educational benefit to all parties involved – students, parents, facilitators, and schools.

The MBF Child Safety Matters program is impressive. This important information is well formulated and well presented, developmentally appropriate, and based on good understanding of literature.
